यो समशीतोष्ण जलवायुका उच्चलेकसम्म पाइन्छ । यो ३०-४० फिट अग्लो, सेतो फुल्ने, फलमा साना बीज हुन्छन् । यो पतझर, पालुवामा रातो पात पशुहरूले खाएमा मर्छन् । गुण-धर्म-प्रभाव : कोक्याउने-तितो- टर्रो र स्वभाव : गरम-उत्तेजक । औषधीय उपयोग : यसको पात पिसेर लगाउँदा उठ्नु र बस्नु पार्छ तर सहन सक्नेलाई समस्त चर्मरोगमा फाइदा पुयाई सन्चो गर्छ । यसको जराले कुकुर, बाँदर, स्याल इत्यादि बहुलाएर टोकेकोमा सन्चो पार्छ । यसको बीजले जोर्नी दुख्ने, आमवात, सुन्निनेमा लाभ पुऱ्याउँछ । घ्यू / तेलमा यसको सर्वाङ्ग डढाएर लगाउँदा/ मालिस गर्दा छालाका रोग, वातव्याधि, यौनरोग, भिरङ्गी-फिरङ्गी, इत्यादिमा अचुक लाभ गरी सन्चो गराउँछ । यसको स्वरस/अर्क/काँढापानीले विषाणु-कीटाणु नाश गर्छ । यसको सेतो खरानीले बालीनालीका कीरा हटाउँछ । यस क्षारले जलोदर, पत्थरी, कर्णशूलमा अत्यन्त छिटो फाइदा पुऱ्याउँछ ।
