Kaulo, scientifically known as Machilus duthiei,
belongs to the Lauraceae family and is native to the Himalayan region,
including Nepal, India, Tibet, and Pakistan. It thrives in temperate biomes and
is commonly found at altitudes between 1000–2500 meters. The tree is
medium-sized, reaching heights of 40–50 feet, and is highly valued for its
medicinal properties in traditional practices.

Kaulo is often referred to as the "Nepali Arjuna"
due to its heart-protective qualities, similar to the well-known Terminalia
