यो कन्दगोल स्त्री कलिहारी कन्द लामो भएमा पुरुष कलिहारी भनिन्छ यो ६०० मिटर उचाइसम्मा पाइन्छ यसको पत्ता कचुरको तरह हुन्छन्

    यो उपविष हो फूल लाग्ने बित्तिकै जरा निकालेर काटकुटपिसी मही, नुन घोलमा - दिन राख्ने दिनमा घाममा सुकाउने यसलाई यस्तो शुद्ध गरेपछि कृमिनाशक, विषनिवारक विरेचक औषधि हो यसलाई सर्पदंशमा - रत्ती घ्यूसँग दिँदा अति लाभ गर्छ विषालु जनावरले टोकेमा, सुन्निने, नदुख्ने बाह्य उपचारमा लेप लगाउन काम लिइन्छ सुजाक (गनोरिया) रोगीलाई कुटेर पानीमा भिजाई घोलघाल पारी कपडामा छानेर - पटक नित्य पिएमा तुरुन्तै फाइदा गर्छ, मात्रा भने - रत्ती हुँदा राम्रो हुन्छ। एक टुक्रा योनिको नजिक राख्दा प्रसव छिटो हुन्छ सावधान : यो गर्भघातिनीले गर्भपतन गर्न सक्छ यसैले गर्भिणीले नखाने

This plant is traditionally known in Nepal and other parts of Asia and Africa for its remarkable medicinal properties.     • Appearance: The plant features striking red and yellow flowers resembling flames. Its leaves are long and slender, while its tubers are used for medicinal purposes.

    Uses and Benefits:

    Kaalihari has several well-documented medicinal uses. It is widely regarded for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antimicrobial properties, making it useful in treating conditions such as:

    • Pain Relief and Inflammation: Kaalihari's roots and tubers contain compounds like flavonoids and alkaloids that help reduce joint pain and inflammation​
    • Parasites and Worms: It is an effective remedy against intestinal worms, as well as other parasitic infections​
    • Skin and Wound Healing: Due to its antimicrobial properties, it is used in treating skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and other wounds​

    Properties:

                 Plant Type: Climbing herb found at altitudes around 600 meters.

                 Leaves: Slender with tendrils that assist in climbing.

                 Flowers: Vibrant, flame-like appearance.

                 Tuber: Highly toxic, with distinct male (long) and female (shorter) variants.

                 Classification: Considered a poison, particularly potent in the tubers.

    Uses:

                 Antidote for Snake Bites: The root is cut immediately after the flower blooms and administered with ghee.

                 Purgative: Used to induce vomiting or bowel movements to cleanse the body.

                 Treatment for Gonorrhea: The tuber is ground, soaked in water, filtered, and consumed 2-3 times daily.

                 External Treatment: Applied to treat animal bites, swelling, and pain after soaking in a salt solution and drying in the sun.

                 Anthelmintic: Dried tuber is used to expel parasites.

                 Childbirth Aid: A piece of the tuber placed near the vagina can hasten delivery (requires expert supervision).

    Using Method:

                 Snake Bites: Administered with 4-5 drops of ghee to neutralize venom.

                 Gonorrhea Treatment: Consume water-extracted solution 2-3 times daily, in small quantities.

                 External Application: Tuber soaked in honey-soaked salt solution, dried, and then applied externally.

                 Childbirth Aid: A small piece of the tuber is placed near the vagina to speed up delivery.
