यो मझौला खालको रूख १५०० मिटरसम्ममा पाइन्छ, परन्तु गर्मी पहाडमा खेती धेरै छिटो फस्टाउँछ । यसको पातको आकार स्थलकमलसमान देखिन्छ, र पहिचानमा भ्रम उत्पन्न हुन सक्छ । फरक के हो यसको पातको मूल डाँठ रातो हुन्छ र रूखबाट सेतो रेशा निस्कन्छ । हाँगा मूलायम मखमली हुन्छ, पात ५-७ अङ्गुल लामो हृदयाकार, एक अङ्गुल कचौराको घेरामा निहुरिएको रक्तपुष्पी, जब परिपक्क पुष्पदल भूमिमा भर्दछ, तब पुष्पकोष आकाशतिर फर्कन्छ, यसैकारण यसलाई उल्टो कमल भनिन्छ । फलको चारैतिर स-साना पात, पञ्चकोशीय खण्ड, कोशाको प्रत्येक धारमा जालीको भित्र महिन चम्किलो कपासको रौँका बीचमा कालो/पहेँलो धेरै बीज रहन्छन् । जराको बोक्रा मट्याइलो भित्रीभाग सेतो, काट्दा च्यापच्याप लाग्ने चोप हुन्छ । उल्टो कमलजरा रजः प्रवर्तिनी शक्तिको धनी मानिन्छ । मासिकधर्मको घटीबढी, कष्टसहितको महिनावारी, गर्भाशय विकार, योनिरोग, बाँझपन, सेतो-रातो प्रदर, सुजाक, बहुमूत्र, कष्टदायक पिसाब, गानोगोला, कब्जियत, जोर्नीवाथ आदिमा यसको सेवनले अत्यन्तै लाभ पुऱ्याउँछ । यसको जरालाई सुकाएर १/१ चम्चा धुलो ३-५ पटक खाँदा गतिशील लाभ मिल्दछ । यसको बोक्रा, फूल, बीज, जरा, पात पञ्चाङ्गको काँढापानी ५-७ पटक पिएर लाभ लिन सकिन्छ साथै पञ्चाङ्ग चूर्णबाट पनि आधा-एक चम्चा २-३ पटक खाएर पनि यस औषधिबाट उपचार पाइन्छ । वैद्यकीय अभ्यासबाट निर्दोष अमृतवर्गको रसायन उल्टोकमल महसुस गरिएको छ ।
