यो १-२ फिट अग्लो, बास्नादार सेतो भीर र चौरका ३०००-४५०० मिटरमा पाइन्छ । गुण-धर्म : सुगन्धित, टर्रो र गरम स्वभाव । उपयोग: यसको धूप वातावरण शुद्धि र संक्रमणकारी रोग हटाउन प्रयोग हुन्छ। यसको मुख्य कामः चिसो रुघा-खोकी, कफग्रस्त समस्या - दम, पिनास, ठन्डी रोग, जोर्नीवाथ, सुन्निने- दुख्ने, कफ-वाथरोग, छालाको रोग इत्यादि सन्चो गराउँछ । मात्रा : ३-५ ग्राम, अत्तर : ३-५ थोपा, अर्क : १०- १५ ग्राम, भस्म : १-२ ग्राम ३-५ पटक । कस्तो बास्ना ?

    हिमाली भेगको स्वच्छ हावापानीमा हुर्कने अनेकौं जडीबुटीहरूमध्ये खम्बालोप्साङ एक अत्यन्तै महत्त्वपूर्ण र पवित्र मानिने वनस्पति हो। यसलाई वैज्ञानिक जगतमा Dendranthema nubigenum नामले चिनिन्छ भने जनबोलीमा यसलाई 'सेतो बुकी धुप' पनि भनिन्छ। विशेषगरी बौद्ध संस्कृति र हिमाली जनजीवनमा यसको धार्मिक र औषधीय दुवै महत्त्व उच्च छ।

    खम्बालोप्साङ एक बहुवर्षीय सुगन्धित जडीबुटी हो। यो वनस्पति १ देखि २ फिटसम्म अग्लो हुन्छ। यसको बोटभरि साना-साना सेता भुवाहरू जस्तो देखिने हुनाले यसलाई 'सेतो बुकी' भनिएको हो। यो बिरुवा निकै बास्नादार हुन्छ र यसको सुगन्धले वरपरको वातावरणलाई नै स्फूर्तिदायक बनाउँछ। हिमाली समुदायमा यसलाई देवतालाई चढाउने पवित्र धुपको रूपमा र शरीरका विभिन्न रोग निको पार्ने अचुक औषधिको रूपमा सदियौंदेखि प्रयोग गरिँदै आएको छ।

    यो वनस्पति विशेषगरी उच्च हिमाली क्षेत्रमा मात्र पाइन्छ।

    नेपाल: नेपालको हिमाली भेगमा ३००० मिटरदेखि ४५०० मिटरको उचाइमा यो प्रशस्त मात्रामा पाइन्छ। विशेषगरी कर्णाली र गण्डकी प्रदेशका माथिल्लो भेगका भीर-पाखा र खुल्ला चौरहरूमा यसको उपस्थिति बाक्लो छ।

    अन्य देशहरू: नेपाल बाहेक यो तिब्बत (चीन), भुटान र भारतका हिमाली क्षेत्रहरूमा पनि पाइन्छ। यो चिसो र कम अक्सिजन भएको ठाउँमा फस्टाउने वनस्पति हो।

    खम्बालोप्साङको पहिचान यसका विशेष भौतिक गुणहरूबाट गर्न सकिन्छ:

    उचाइ र बनावट: यो १-२ फिटसम्म अग्लो हुन्छ। यसका पातहरू साना र चाँदी जस्तो सेतो भुवादार हुन्छन्।

    सुगन्ध र स्वाद: यसको स्वभाव 'गरम' (तातो) हुन्छ। यसको स्वाद टर्रो र गन्ध निकै कडा तथा सुगन्धित हुन्छ।

    फूल: यसमा साना र आकर्षक फूलहरू फुल्छन्, जसले गर्दा चौर नै सेतो र आकर्षक देखिन्छ।

     

    फाइदा

    आयुर्वेदिक र आम्ची (हिमाली चिकित्सा पद्धति) अनुसार यसका अनगिन्ती फाइदाहरू छन्:

    वातावरण शुद्धि: यसको धुप बाल्दा हावामा रहेका हानिकारक कीटाणुहरू मर्छन् र संक्रमणकारी रोग फैलिन पाउँदैन।

    श्वासप्रश्वासमा राहत: चिसोका कारण हुने रुघाखोकी, कफ जम्ने समस्या र दमको लागि यो रामबाण मानिन्छ।

    पिनास र टाउको दुखाइ: पिनास (Sinus) का बिरामीहरूका लागि यसको बाफ वा धुप निकै प्रभावकारी हुन्छ।

    हाडजोर्नी र नसा: यसको तातो प्रभावले गर्दा जोर्नी वाथ (Arthritis), सुन्निएको ठाउँ र कफ-वाथरोगमा ठूलो राहत दिन्छ।

    छालाको समस्या: छालासम्बन्धी विभिन्न संक्रमण र घाउ खटिरा निको पार्न पनि यसको प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

     

    प्रयोग विधि

    खम्बालोप्साङलाई रोगको प्रकृति अनुसार विभिन्न तरिकाले प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ:

    धुपको रूपमा: वातावरण शुद्ध पार्न र मानसिक शान्तिको लागि सुकेको बुकीलाई सिधै आगोमा बाल्न सकिन्छ।

    धुलो वा चूर्ण: ३ देखि ५ ग्राम धुलोलाई मनतातो पानीसँग दिनको ३-५ पटक सेवन गर्दा रुघाखोकी र कफ निको हुन्छ।

    अत्तर र तेल: यसको ३ देखि ५ थोपा अत्तरलाई तातो पानीमा मिसाएर बाफ लिन सकिन्छ।

    अर्क र भस्म: यसको अर्क १०-१५ ग्राम वा भस्म १-२ ग्रामको मात्रामा चिकित्सकको सल्लाह अनुसार सेवन गर्न सकिन्छ।

    लेप: जोर्नी दुख्ने वा सुन्निएको ठाउँमा यसको लेप बनाएर लगाउनाले दुखाइ कम हुन्छ।

     

    खेती, उत्पादन र संरक्षण

    यो प्राकृतिक रूपमा भीर र चौरहरूमा पाइने भए तापनि यसको बढ्दो मागका कारण संरक्षण आवश्यक देखिएको छ।

    खेती: यसलाई ओसिलो तर घाम लाग्ने हिमाली माटोमा खेती गर्न सकिन्छ। यसको बीउ वा जराबाट नयाँ बिरुवा उत्पादन गर्न सकिन्छ।

    संकलन: फूल फुल्ने समयपछि यसलाई संकलन गरिन्छ। संकलन गर्दा जरालाई असर नपुग्ने गरी माथिल्लो भाग मात्र काट्नु पर्छ

    संरक्षण: जथाभाबी संकलनले गर्दा यो लोप हुने खतरामा छ। त्यसैले, स्थानीय समुदायले यसको दिगो संकलन र संरक्षणमा ध्यान दिनु जरुरी छ।
