    Introduction

Cypripedium himalaicum, commonly known as Lady’s Slipper Orchid and called Khujukpa (खुजुकपा) in Nepal, is a rare and valuable medicinal herb found in the Himalayan region. It belongs to the orchid family and is famous for its beautiful slipper-shaped flower. Besides its beauty, it has been used in traditional Himalayan and Ayurvedic medicine for many years. This herb is especially valued for its cooling nature and its ability to help with urinary problems, heart health, reproductive health, and blood purification. Because of its medicinal importance and limited availability, it is considered a precious herb in mountain communities.
