यो २-३ फिट अग्लो, सेतो फुल्ने, आँख्ला देखिने १५००-२००० मिटरमा पाइन्छ । गुण-धर्म : मीठो स्वाद र स्वभाव शीतल । औषधीय उपयोग : यसले बल दिन्छ, मुटुलाई शक्ति दिन्छ, रगत बढाउँछ, स्नायु सन्जाल मजबुत गर्छ । जोर्नी दुख्ने, हाड खिइने, स्नेहन पदार्थ नबन्ने, क्याल्सियम नपुग्ने, मेद-मज्जा आदि धातु पुष्टिहेतु यसको प्रयोग हुन्छ । यसलाई काँच्चै चपाएर र सागबाट लाभ लिन सकिन्छ । स्वरसबाट तत्काल लाभ पुऱ्याउँछ र स्वास्थ्यमा सुधार ल्याउँछ । मात्रा : ३-५ ग्राम लेदो / चूर्ण, अर्क : १०-१५ ग्राम, अवलेह ३०- ५० ग्राम ३-५ पटक । यसको सर्वाङ्गमा कुनै एक टुक्रा चुस्दा बल बढाउँछ ।

    खिराँलो, जसको वैज्ञानिक नाम Polygonatum multiflorum हो, एक बहुवर्षीय वनस्पति हो। यो विशेषगरी यसको अण्डाकार पात र झुप्पा परेर फुल्ने सेतो फूलका कारण चिनिन्छ। यो बिरुवा सामान्यतया २ देखि ३ फिटसम्म अग्लो हुन्छ। यसको काण्डमा आँख्लाहरू स्पष्ट देखिन्छन्, जसले गर्दा यसलाई चिन्न सजिलो हुन्छ। आयुर्वेदमा यसलाई शरीरलाई बलियो बनाउने र धातु पुष्टि गर्ने वनस्पतिका रूपमा व्याख्या गरिएको छ।

    खिराँलोलाई यसका केही विशिष्ट भौतिक गुणहरूबाट पहिचान गर्न सकिन्छ:

    उचाइ: यो बोट २ देखि ३ फिटसम्म अग्लो हुन्छ।

    पात: यसका पातहरू अण्डाकार हुन्छन् र डाँठको दुवैतिर मिलेर बसेका हुन्छन्।

    फूल: यसमा सेतो र हल्का हरियो मिसावट भएका घण्टी आकारका फूलहरू फुल्छन्, जुन पातको काखबाट झुण्डिएका हुन्छन्।

    जरा: यसको जरा (Rhizome) मासुलो र सेतो हुन्छ, जसमा आँख्लाहरू देखिन्छन्।

    स्वाद र प्रकृति: यसको स्वाद मीठो हुन्छ र यसको प्रभाव (वीर्य) शीतल हुन्छ।

    अर्क र अवलेह: १०-१५ ग्राम अर्क वा ३०-५० ग्राम अवलेह (जाम जस्तो बनाइएको औषधि) चिकित्सकको सल्लाह अनुसार खान सकिन्छ।
