अश्वगन्धा करिब १.५ मिटरसम्म

अग्लो हुने सिधा हाँगा भएको सदावहार झाडी हो। यो वनस्पतिका सम्पूर्ण भाग सेतो भुवा जस्तो पदार्थले ढाकेको हुन्छ। पातहरू साना, सिधा किनार भएका, र तल्लो भागमा सेतो भुवा धेरै हुन्छ। फूलहरू फिका पहेंलो-हरियो रंगको हुन्छन्।

उपलब्धता र प्राकृतिक वितरण:

अश्वगन्धा भारतका केही भाग र भूमध्यसागर क्षेत्रहरूमा प्राकृतिक रूपमा पाइन्छ। नेपालमा यो उष्ण प्रदेशीय क्षेत्रमा खेती गर्न सकिन्छ।

अश्वगन्धाको जरालाई विभिन्न रोगहरूमा प्रयोग गरिन्छ। यो जरा नपुंसकता, यौन शक्तिवर्धक, शारीरिक कमजोरी, बाथ, अनिद्रा, ज्वरो, र शरीर सुन्निनुजस्ता समस्याहरूको उपचारमा प्रयोग गरिन्छ। यो आयुर्वेदमा शरीरको तागत र उर्जा बढाउन महत्त्वपूर्ण मानिन्छ।

संरक्षण अवस्था वा व्यापारिक महत्त्व:

अश्वगन्धा नेपालमा प्राकृतिक रूपमा नपाइने भएकोले यसलाई धेरै मात्रामा भारतबाट आयात गरिन्छ, जसले यसको व्यापारिक महत्त्वलाई बढाउँछ।

Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 1.5 meters tall with straight branches. The entire plant is covered in white hairs, giving it a distinctive look. Ashwagandha is naturally distributed in some parts of India and the Mediterranean region. In Nepal, it can be cultivated in tropical areas, though it doesn’t naturally grow in Nepali forests.

Part Used in Trade: The root is the primary part used in trade. Since it is not naturally found in Nepal’s forests, a large quantity of Ashwagandha root is imported from India.

The root of Ashwagandha is known for its medicinal properties. It is commonly used in the treatment of impotency, as a sexual stimulant, for weakness, gout, sleeplessness, fevers, and swelling of the body. Ashwagandha is a significant herb in Ayurvedic medicine for boosting energy and vitality.
