यो उष्ण तथा समशीतोष्ण हावापानीमा हुने सदाबहार मझौला रूख हो । यसले तुषारो खप्न सक्छ, आगोले असर गर्दैन, जरा फैलिन्छ, धमिराले असर पार्दैन, चिस्यान र सुक्खा ठाउँमा पनि फस्टाउँछ। यसले भूक्षय हुन दिँदैन । यसको काठ औजार दाउरा प्रयोजनमा आएको देखिन्छ । गुण-धर्म : तितो-टर्रो । यसले आउँ-पखाला, ज्वर, गानोगोला, सुन्निएको, आमवात, पेटका समस्त कृमि, दम, खोकी इत्यादिमा अचुक उपचार गरी सन्चो बनाउँछ । मात्रा : पात र बोक्रा ३-५ ग्राम, अर्क : १०-१५ ग्राम, भस्म : १-२ ग्राम ।

    परिचय

    क्यासिया घाँस, जसलाई वैज्ञानिक रूपमा Cassia siamea वा Senna siamea भनिन्छ, एक सदाबहार मझौला कदको रूख हो। नाममा "घाँस" जोडिए पनि यो वास्तवमा एक बलियो र फैलिने रुख हो। यो वनस्पति विशेष गरी यसको सहनशीलता र औषधीय गुणका लागि चिनिन्छ। यसले कडा तुषारो खप्न सक्ने क्षमता राख्छ र डढेलो लाग्दा समेत यसको जरा सुरक्षित रहने हुनाले यो पुन: पलाउन सक्छ। यसको काठ निकै मजबुत हुने र धमिराले समेत नखाने हुनाले यसलाई विभिन्न निर्माण कार्यमा पनि प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

    आकार: यो मध्यम उचाइको रुख हो जुन सामान्यतया १० देखि ६० फिटसम्म अग्लो हुन सक्छ।

    पात: यसका पातहरू गाढा हरिया र ओभल आकारका हुन्छन्।

    फूल: यसमा पहेँलो रङ्गका झुप्पा-झुप्पा फूलहरू फुल्छन्, जसले रुखलाई निकै आकर्षक देखाउँछ।

    सहनशीलता: यसको जरा जमिनमा धेरै टाढासम्म फैलिने भएकाले यसले खडेरी र सुक्खा ठाउँमा पनि सजिलै जीवन धान्न सक्छ।

    काठ: यसको काठ कडा र टिकाउ हुन्छ, जसमा धमिरा लाग्ने सम्भावना न्यून रहन्छ।

    यो वनस्पति केवल घाँस वा दाउराको लागि मात्र नभई स्वास्थ्यका दृष्टिले पनि निकै लाभदायक छ:

    प्रयोग विधि

    क्यासिया घाँसलाई औषधिको रूपमा प्रयोग गर्दा मात्राको ख्याल गर्नु अति आवश्यक छ। आयुर्वेद अनुसार यसको प्रयोग निम्न अनुसार गर्न सकिन्छ:

    पात र बोक्रा: धुलो बनाएर ३ देखि ५ ग्रामसम्म प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ।

    अर्क (Liquid Extract): पात वा बोक्राबाट निकालिएको अर्क १० देखि १५ ग्रामसम्म सेवन गर्न सकिन्छ।

    भस्म (Ash): यसको काठ वा भागहरू जलाएर बनाइएको भस्म १ देखि २ ग्रामसम्म औषधिको रूपमा प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

    नोट: कुनै पनि जडिबुटी सेवन गर्नुअघि विशेषज्ञ वा चिकित्सकको सल्लाह लिनु अनिवार्य हुन्छ।

     

    खेती, उत्पादन संरक्षण

    क्यासिया घाँसको खेती गर्न निकै सजिलो छ किनकि यसलाई धेरै हेरचाहको आवश्यकता पर्दैन।

    प्रसारण: यसको खेती मुख्यतया बीउबाट गरिन्छ। बीउ रोपेको केही समयमै यसका बिरुवाहरू तयार हुन्छन्।

    माटो र हावापानी: चिस्यान भएको ठाउँदेखि सुक्खा ठाउँसम्म यो फस्टाउन सक्छ। यसलाई विशेष मलखादको आवश्यकता पर्दैन।

    संरक्षण: यसलाई धमिरा र आगोले खासै असर नगर्ने हुनाले यसको संरक्षण गर्न सहज छ। तर, व्यावसायिक उत्पादनका लागि भने समय-समयमा काँटछाँट गर्नु राम्रो हुन्छ। यसले भूक्षय रोक्ने हुनाले नदी किनार र भिरालो जमिनमा यसको वृक्षारोपण गर्नु लाभदायक हुन्छ।
