यो वर्षामा देखिने - हात अग्लो फुस्रो हल्का झुस भएको भार १००० मिटरसम्म सबै ठाउँमा पाइन्छ पहेँलो फुल्ने उग्र गन्ध दिने झार कपुर भनिने कुकरौंदालाई प्रयोग गरी लाभ लिनुपर्छ यो वायुनाशक, ज्वरनाशक,

    रक्तस्तम्भक, मूत्रल कफघ्न मानिन्छ रक्तार्शमा चिसो रोगमा १०-१५ ग्राम स्वरस तथा चूर्ण आधा - एक चम्चा खाना पछाडि दिनमा पटक मनमन तातो पानीसँग खानुपर्छ यसको काँढापानी / माना पिउने मुखमा टुक्रा चुस्दा विशेष लाभ मिल्छ

    परिचय

    कुकुरौंदा (Blumea lacera) नेपालमा पाइने एक प्रमुख जडीबुटी हो। यसलाई कुकन्दर, झार कपुर, वा फुस्रो झार पनि भनिन्छ। यो वनस्पति निकै सामान्य रूपमा पाइने भएकाले यसको औषधीय प्रयोग पनि धेरै ठाउँमा गरिन्छ। यसको उग्र गन्ध र पहेँला फूलहरूले यसलाई सजिलै चिन्न सकिन्छ। नेपाली परम्परागत चिकित्सामा यसको धेरै महत्त्व छ, विशेष गरी वायु सम्बन्धी रोग, ज्वरो, र रक्तार्शमा यसको प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

    उपलब्धता

    कुकुरौंदा नेपालको तराई देखि १००० मिटर सम्मको उचाईमा पाइन्छ। यो वर्षायाममा धेरै देखिने गर्छ। यसको वनस्पति नेपाल बाहेक भारत, बंगलादेश, श्रीलंका, थाइल्याण्ड, म्यानमार, र दक्षिण पूर्वी एसियाका अन्य देशहरूमा पनि पाइन्छ। यसले नम्र जलवायु र ओसिलो माटोमा राम्रोसँग बढ्न सक्छ।

    भौतिक गुणहरू

    • यो वनस्पति १-२ फिट अग्लो हुन्छ।
    • यसको हाँगामा फुस्रो र हल्का झुस लागेको हुन्छ।
    • पातहरू साना, डाँठमा एक-एक पात जोडिएका हुन्छन्।
    • फूलहरू साना र पहेँला रंगका हुन्छन्।
    • यसको गन्ध उग्र र कपुर जस्तो हुन्छ।

    औषधीय गुणहरू

    कुकुरौंदामा निम्न औषधीय गुणहरू पाइन्छन्:

    • वायुनाशक (Carminative): पेटको ग्याँस, अपच, र पेट फुल्ने समस्यामा लाभदायक।
    • ज्वरनाशक (Antipyretic): ज्वरो घटाउन मद्दत गर्छ।
    • रक्तस्तम्भक (Hemostatic): रक्त बहने रोक्न सहयोगी।
    • मूत्रल (Diuretic): मूत्र सम्बन्धी समस्यामा उपयोगी।
    • कफघ्न (Expectorant): कफ, खोकी, र श्वासप्रश्वास समस्यामा फाइदाजनक।

    लाभहरू

    • रक्तार्श (Piles) मा: यसको रस वा चूर्णले रक्तस्राव रोक्न मद्दत गर्छ।
    • चिसो रोगमा: यसले शरीरको चिसो लाग्ने समस्यामा राम्रो असर गर्छ।
    • पेटको ग्याँस र अपचमा: यसले पाचन प्रणालीलाई सुधार गर्छ।
    • ज्वरो घटाउन: तातो पानीसंग यसको चूर्ण खानाले ज्वरो कम हुन्छ।
    • मुख रोगमा: यसको काँढा पानीले मुखको घाउ र दाँत दुखाइमा आराम दिन्छ।

    प्रयोग विधि

    1. स्वरस (रस):
      • १०-१५ ग्राम ताजा पातको रस दिनमा २ पटक तातो पानीसंग सेवन गर्नाले रक्तार्श र चिसो रोगमा फाइदा हुन्छ।
    2. चूर्ण:
      • आधा-एक चम्चा चूर्ण खाना खाएपछि दिनमा २ पटक लिन सकिन्छ।
    3. काँढा (क्वाथ):
      • यसको पात उमालेर १:१ अनुपातमा पानी बनाएर पिउनाले मुख रोग, पेट दुखाइ, र ज्वरोमा फाइदा हुन्छ।
    4. मुखमा चुस्ने:
      • यसको पातको टुक्रा मुखमा चुस्दा मुखको बदबी, घाउ, र दाँत दुखाइमा आराम मिल्छ।

    संकलन संरक्षण

    • संकलन: कुकुरौंदा वर्षायाममै धेरै फैलिन्छ, त्यसैले यसको पात र डाँठ यसै समयमा संकलन गर्नु उपयुक्त हुन्छ।
    • सुकाउने: पातहरूलाई छायामा सुकाएर चूर्ण बनाउन सकिन्छ।
    • भण्डारण: सुकेको चूर्ण वा पातहरू एयरटाइट कन्टेनरमा राख्नुपर्छ ताकि यसको गुण कायम रहोस्।

    Blumea lacera, locally known in Nepal as Kukurauda, Kukundar, or Thaangne Jhaar, is a medicinal herb belonging to the Asteraceae family. This annual plant is recognized for its strong aroma and is often referred to as "wild camphor" due to its camphor-like scent. In various regions, it's also called Damong-mabaho in the Philippines, Kakronda in India, and Kukurmuta in Bangladesh.

     

    Availability in Nepal and Other Countries

    In Nepal, Kukurauda thrives in moist areas up to 1,000 meters above sea level, especially during the monsoon season. It's commonly found in fields, roadsides, and forest edges. Beyond Nepal, Blumea lacera is widespread across tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, including India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, China, and parts of Africa and Australia. Its adaptability to various climates makes it a prevalent herb in these regions.

    • Height: Typically grows between 1 to 2 feet tall.
    • Stem: Erect, branched, and covered with fine hairs.
    • Leaves: Oblong to lance-shaped with serrated edges, emitting a strong aroma when crushed.
    • Flowers: Small, yellow, and clustered, blooming during the monsoon season.
    • Odor: Strong camphor-like scent, which acts as a natural insect repellent.

     

    Medicinal Properties

    Blumea lacera is renowned for its diverse medicinal properties:

    • Antipyretic: Helps reduce fever.
    • Antimicrobial: Effective against various bacteria and fungi.
    • Antioxidant: Combats oxidative stress in the body.
    • Anti-inflammatory: Reduces inflammation and swelling.
    • Diuretic: Promotes urine production, aiding in detoxification.

    Using Method

    • Powder: Dry the leaves, grind into a powder, and take half to one teaspoon with warm water post meals.
    • Decoction: Boil the leaves in water to make a decoction; drink 50 ml twice daily.
    • Paste: Crush fresh leaves to make a paste and apply to affected skin areas.
    • Inhalation: Boil leaves in water and inhale the steam to relieve respiratory issues.

    • Harvesting: Collect the plant during the monsoon season when it's in full bloom. Ensure to pick healthy, disease-free plants.
