यो उच्चलेकाली क्षेत्रमा पाइने सानो बिरुवा हो । यसको फूल पहेँलो र फल गोलो-लाम्चो हुन्छ । यसलाई पिसेर लेदो घाउमा लगाउँदा सन्चो गर्छ, सुन्निएकोमा छिटो ठीक पार्छ । चर्मरोगमा पिसेर लगाउनाले लाभ पुग्छ, हैजामा तल-माथि दुवै रोक्छ । मात्रा : ३-५ ग्राम लेदो / चूर्ण, काँढापानी १/१ माना, अर्क : २०- २५ ग्राम २-३ पटक ।

    परिचय

    गणफुस्रे, जसलाई वैज्ञानिक नाममा Verbascum thapsus भनिन्छ, एक द्वि-वर्षीय (biennial) बिरुवा हो। नेपाली ग्रामीण समाजमा यसलाई "बाँदरपुच्छ्रे" को नामले पनि चिनिन्छ, किनकि यसको फूलको डाँठ लामो र रौंयुक्त हुन्छ जुन बाँदरको पुच्छर जस्तै देखिन्छ। यो बिरुवा मुख्यतया यसको नरम, भुवादार पात र पहेँलो फूलका लागि चिनिन्छ। आयुर्वेद र परम्परागत चिकित्सा पद्धतिमा यसको प्रयोग शताब्दीऔं देखि श्वासप्रश्वास सम्बन्धी समस्या र छालाका रोग निको पार्न गरिँदै आएको छ।

     

    नेपाल र अन्य देशहरूमा उपलब्धता

    गणफुस्रे विश्वका धेरै भागहरूमा पाइने बिरुवा हो। यसको उपलब्धता निम्न अनुसार छ:

    नेपाल: यो मुख्यतया नेपालको उच्च लेकाली तथा पहाडी क्षेत्रहरू (१८०० मिटरदेखि ४००० मिटरसम्मको उचाइ) मा पाइन्छ। विशेष गरी मुगुको गमगाडी, डोल्पा र अन्य हिमाली जिल्लाहरूका खुल्ला चउर र ढुङ्गेनी भिरालो जमिनमा यो प्रशस्त मात्रामा देखिन्छ।

    अन्य देशहरू: यो बिरुवा युरोप, उत्तरी अफ्रिका र मध्य एसियाको रैथाने हो। हाल यो अमेरिका, अस्ट्रेलिया र भुटान जस्ता देशहरूमा पनि प्राकृतिक रूपमा फैलिसकेको छ। यो प्रायः घाम लाग्ने र कम उर्वर माटो भएको ठाउँमा सजिलै उम्रिन्छ।

     

    भौतिक गुणहरू

    गणफुस्रेलाई सजिलै चिन्न सकिने केही विशिष्ट भौतिक गुणहरू छन्:

    पात: यसको पातहरू ठूला, बाक्ला र मखमली जस्तै नरम हुन्छन्। पातको दुवै तिर सेतो वा फुस्रो रौं (hairs) हुन्छ, जसले गर्दा यसलाई छुँदा कपास छोएको जस्तो महसुस हुन्छ।

    फूल: यसको बिरुवाको बीचबाट एउटा लामो डाँठ निस्कन्छ, जसमा झुप्पा परेर साना पहेँलो रंगका फूलहरू फुल्छन्। फूल फुल्ने समय सामान्यतया मे महिनादेखि सेप्टेम्बरसम्म हुन्छ।

    उचाइ: यो बिरुवा २ मिटरसम्म अग्लो हुन सक्छ।

    फल र बीउ: यसको फल गोलो-लाम्चो आकारको हुन्छ र एउटै बिरुवाले हजारौँको संख्यामा मसिना बीउहरू उत्पादन गर्दछ।

     

    फाइदा

    गणफुस्रे स्वास्थ्यका दृष्टिकोणले निकै लाभदायक मानिन्छ। यसका मुख्य फाइदाहरू यस प्रकार छन्:

    १. घाउ र चोटपटक: यसको पातलाई पिसेर लेदो बनाई लगाउँदा पुराना घाउहरू छिटो निको हुन्छन्।

    २. सुन्निएको ठीक गर्ने: शरीरको कुनै भाग सुन्निएको वा मर्किएको छ भने यसको लेदोले दुखाइ कम गरी सूजन हटाउन मद्दत गर्छ।

    ३. चर्मरोग: छाला सम्बन्धी विभिन्न समस्या, दाद, र चिलाउने रोगमा यसको प्रयोग अत्यन्तै प्रभावकारी हुन्छ।

    ४. श्वासप्रश्वासको समस्या: खोकी, दम (Asthma) र ब्रोन्काइटिस जस्ता समस्यामा यसको पातको चिया वा अर्कले फोक्सोलाई आराम दिन्छ र खकार बाहिर निकाल्न मद्दत गर्छ।

    ५. हैजा र पखाला: परम्परागत रूपमा हैजा लाग्दा हुने वान्ता र पखाला (तल-माथि दुवै) रोक्न यसको प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

    ६. कानको दुखाइ: यसको फूलबाट बनेको तेल कान दुख्ने समस्या र संक्रमण निको पार्न प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

     

    प्रयोग विधि

    गणफुस्रेको प्रयोग गर्दा मात्रा र विधिको विशेष ख्याल गर्नुपर्छ:

    लेदो वा चूर्ण: ३ देखि ५ ग्राम गणफुस्रेको चूर्ण वा ताजा पातको लेदोलाई प्रत्यक्ष रूपमा घाउ वा सुन्निएको ठाउँमा लगाउन सकिन्छ।

    काँढापानी (Decoction): करिब १ माना पानीमा यसको सुकेको पात वा फूल उमालेर पकाइएको काँढापानी दिनको दुई पटक सेवन गर्न सकिन्छ। (नोट: पिउनु अघि मसिनो कपडाले छान्नु पर्छ ताकि यसको साना रौंले घाँटी नचिलाओस्)।

    अर्क: २० देखि २५ ग्राम अर्क दिनको २-३ पटक सेवन गर्दा हैजा र पेटको गडबडीमा राहत मिल्छ।

    तेल: यसको फूललाई जैतूनको तेल (Olive oil) मा मिसाएर घाममा राखेर बनाइएको तेल कानमा हाल्न वा छालामा लगाउन सकिन्छ।

     

    खेती, उत्पादन र संरक्षण

    गणफुस्रे एक जंगली जडीबुटी भए तापनि यसको बढ्दो मागका कारण अहिले यसको व्यावसायिक खेती पनि सुरु हुन थालेको छ।

    खेती: यसलाई बीउबाट सजिलै उमार्न सकिन्छ। यसलाई धेरै मल वा पानीको आवश्यकता पर्दैन। सुक्खा र घाम लाग्ने ठाउँ यसको लागि उपयुक्त हुन्छ।

    उत्पादन: दोस्रो वर्षमा बिरुवा पूर्ण रूपमा तयार हुन्छ र फूल फुल्छ। फूल र पातलाई उचित समयमा संकलन गरी छायामा सुकाएर भण्डारण गरिन्छ।

    संरक्षण: नेपालमा यो प्राकृतिक रूपमै पाइने भए तापनि जथाभाबी संकलन गर्दा यसको अस्तित्व संकटमा पर्न सक्छ। त्यसैले, यसको दिगो उपयोगका लागि स्थानीय समुदायलाई संकलन विधि र संरक्षणको बारेमा तालिम दिनु आवश्यक छ।

    Introduction
