AMALA (PHYLLANTHUS EMBLICA)

Nepali Name: अमला, Amala

Scientific Name: Phyllanthus emblica

Hindi Name: आमला, Amla

Traditional Uses and Process of Use:

1. Fresh Fruits:

Properties: Acrid, cooling, diuretic, laxative, and stomachic.

Uses:

Cooling Effect: Provides a cooling sensation.

Diuretic: Promotes urine production.

Laxative: Supports bowel movements.

Stomachic: Beneficial for the stomach.

2. Dry Fruit:

Constituent of 'Triphala' and 'Chyavanpras' in Ayurvedic preparations.

'Triphala': A combination of three fruits used for various health benefits.

'Chyavanpras': A herbal formulation known for rejuvenation.

3. Medical Conditions:

Useful in haemorrhage and dysentery.

Combining with Iron Compounds:

Remedy for anaemia.

Remedy for jaundice.

Remedy for dyspepsia.

4. Root:
